LegUp - For Harley Dyna Models
LegUp is happy to announce that it has been adapted to Harley Dyna Models. Now you Dyna owners that could use a LegUp can get one.
It took quite a bit of engineering, but as you can see from the pictures The system looks and works great!! Dynas have no rear frame behind and below the transmission, which is where we typically install our support plate. We decided to mount the actuator on a thicker plate, created a 'Bellcrank' to turn its' motion around, and made mounts to put the mechanism in front of the frame rails, attached to the forward control mounts. We then made a Stainless Steel box to cover the entire mechanism (keeping the debris from the front wheel off the system!).
The computer system hides inside a Saddlebag, a Harley kidney-shaped toolbox, or even a fork bag (let us know which so we can make the wiring harness to your need!).
The system costs $3,495i (or consider our LITE version for $500 less!), and is available immediately! If you are having trouble handling the weight of these bikes as they stop, this system is going to make your riding so much more comfortable.
The wheels work exactly like the system on the big bikes. They can be deployed just before the bike stops, and retract automatically upon acceleration. You can even lean the bike somewhat with the wheels lowered. When the wheels are up, the bike is not compromised at all! Lean into turns all you like... You can't do that on a trike or other outrigger-type systems.
No structural changes are required to install or remove the LegUp system. The main attachment point to the bike is up front as described above.
There are a few things that you should know to see if LegUp fill fit your bike. If you have a front air-damn installed it must be removed, and you need to let us know if you have an '06 and later, or a 93-2005 bike. The frames are different between these models, so our mounting brackets must be different as well. We recommend a qualified shop install the system, but the Dyna install is easier than most, so if you are handy, you can try this on your own!
